Mission
Voces Latinas exists to create intentional spaces where Latina women come together to share stories, lived experiences, and knowledge through art, movement, wellness, and dialogue. Our mission is to amplify Latina voices, foster connection, and cultivate collective healing, empowerment, and visibility within our communities.
Vision
We envision a future where Latina women feel seen, heard, and valued. Where their voices shape cultural narratives, influence community spaces, and inspire future generations. Voces Latinas seeks to become an ongoing platform for creative expression, leadership, and community care.
Impact
• Increased confidence and empowerment among participants
• Stronger community bonds and peer support networks
• Access to wellness and creative tools participants can continue using beyond the event
• Amplification of Latina voices and lived experiences.
Audience
We anticipate welcoming 20 Latina women, intentionally keeping the group size small to:
• Foster a safe and supportive environment for open dialogue and storytelling
• Encourage deeper engagement in wellness and creative workshops
• Strengthen authentic community connections and collaboration
• Ensure each participant feels seen, heard, and valued
Event Program
Meet Our Team
Valeria Ortiz - Visual Artist & Muralist
As an artist, I find solace in creating, connecting with fellow creators, and building a community that celebrates diversity and authenticity. For me, art is both a means of expression and a journey of self-discovery.
IxChel García - Women Empowerment
I hold and facilitate safe and loving spaces for women to reconnect with their Divine Feminine Energy, liberate their Wild Woman, and reclaim their power. Guided by Mother Earth and the Divine Goddess.
Nalisha Estrellas - Visual Artist & Dance Instructor
My art is a love letter to the Pacific Northwest, blending botanical beauty and landscape with an abstract lens. I incorporate a sense of movement and flow in my work while evoking a hint of sacred geometry.
Suly Altamirano - Founder | Tizana Mexicana
Determined to make a difference, I set out on a mission to support and empower the artisans I grew up admiring. From that vision, Tizana Mexicana was born in 2023 to share the vibrant heritage and craftsmanship of Mexico with the world.
Cristina Álvarez - Writer & Poet
The best stories are the real, everyday ones. those that describe the objects we rarely pay attention to. My narrative comes from lived experience: childhood, growth, identity, the past, and an exploration of being, without losing sight of the collective. A narrative rooted in the human experience.
